The 32bit iso's worked fine.
I have used the LIVe cd from COSSFEST, the disk from Canocical & a burnt copy of the alternate iso from ubuntu website. This is an old ThinkPad laptop and so is likely using an old intel processor running at 600 Mhz & 256 MB of RAM (i think). Distros I have used have all been 32-bit. One thing I have found on using the live cd and doing the install from there is that it is now stalling on the detecting files systems. I should not also that the win 2k is a fresh install so no reason to defrag as per some of the how2 tos titorials aetc, which I have followed from what I can see. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
