Possible short term solution: Find a friend who has a windows computer (if you don't have one) and also wants a bunch of photos scanned. Use their computer to scan both your photos and theirs. Apply beer and pizza as necessary. Alternately, FutureShop's liberal 7 day return policy can be useful in situations like this "I just wanted to see if it would work with my scanner..." ;-) This doesn't help getting it to work with Linux, but sometimes I find that to be more of a hassle than it's worth (same goes for getting some things working on Windows that work better elsewhere.) -Mark C. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
