Hi again, gang. A while ago, I posted a question regarding installing Ubuntu and I got lots of very, very helpful advice. After reading and rereading your responses, it appears that the easiest and cheapest (I am REALLY cheap) way to go is to install Ubuntu s a Windows program using Wubi.
Now if I read correctly, all I do is go to the Wubi site (http://www.wubi-installer.org/) and download the installer. Then I let it run and it installs Ubuntu for me- quick, easy, dirty. In fact, the sounds much too easy. I have come to believe that nothing to do with computers is easy, so I'm wondering if it really is that simple. Just like installing a new printer, right? No need to back up data? Foolproof? :-? Pat- an exceedingly accomplished fool. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
