I too think that it is too harsh to ban people from the list, it is also
quite impractical as any 'offenders' with just register under a different
email and be tempted to cause more of a problem.

If the exec feel they want to discuss/implement this then that discussion
should be held behind closed doors. I really hope that this is never
required on the CLUG mailing list/website.

I (for one) am obviously getting annoyed by a 'discussion' which is
getting nowhere (other than from keeping my email folder full) and would
prefer if all parties would 'cease and desist'.

What people need to realise is that this is a public list which is
forwarded to many people, and it is archived (and indexed by web search
engines). So remember, Google remembers forever and first impressions are
hard to break....
