This is based on the original design (pre-Atom).  I have a 701, there
are better deals based on the Atom CPU:

If it were me, I would just buy one with a hard drive and install Ubuntu
on it, probably the netbook remix.  The SSDs really suck and all of the
disk based ones ship with Windows.  I know you are making a point, but
that single hardware difference does make a significant performance
impact.  If I did not already own 2 netbooks and a laptop, I would have
already done this.
