I have a 701, there are better deals based on the Atom CPU: http://www.computertrends.com/product-zoom.asp?productid=877%20&categoryId=26
If it were me, I would just buy one with a hard drive and install Ubuntu on it, probably the netbook remix. The SSDs really suck and all of the disk based ones ship with Windows. I know you are making a point, but that single hardware difference does make a significant performance impact. If I did not already own 2 netbooks and a laptop, I would have already done this. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkpqOgoACgkQwRXgH3rKGfNf7QCcCu7Kh0Qh6WTTnNuTZSov+Fcb PH0AoI0aXjBu149f6P+3cwUrhXwUM/io =THEb -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
