Hi Jesse, I got a Dell Mini 12 a few months ago and I was quite impressed until I tried to upgrade from Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 8.10. I could no longer get the wide screen resolution nor the accelerated video. It turns out the Mini 12 has a non Linux friendly graphics card: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA#GMA_500
(Note the Mini 10 does not suffer from this problem. It uses a different graphics card.) Because of this I returned it and got a XPS1330n instead. So far is has been a great computer but unfortunately Dell Canada does not offer it with Linux anymore. Carl On Fri, 2009-07-24 at 13:15 -0700, Jesse Kline wrote: > Thanks for the links Mark.
