Has anyone played with Cloud computing? (other than Gustin who plays
with EVERYTHING). More specific, has anyone tried the Ubuntu Enterprise
Cloud (UCE)?
I'm interested in putting together a personal cloud type thing to
provide a "web based file system" - aka a virtual drive that can be
connected to (mounted would be best), from outside my network. I know
there are other ways to provide this sort of thing - vpn's, webdav, nfs,
etc, but I'm hoping to learn about the cloud idea in the process.
I did find this guide:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Eucalyptus
But this seems to need some background info in the cloud idea to really
understand. I suspect I'll "just do it" in the next day or so, but
thought I'd check in with the group for thoughts/experience.
And related to this, anyone have thoughts about putting together a CLUG
cloud?
Shawn
