Hi I do a lot of skype calls over wireless and I have a question that some of you might be able to answer.
My work computer is running an AMD Vision with Windows 7 and Skype calls made via the wireless card are perfect. I mean virtually 100% of the time. However, on my netbook running Ubuntu 10.04 (using the same wireless router) calls often suck, with dropped portions of conversations. Is this due to the wireless card in my netbook, or, is it because the netbook is running the drivers in Wine? Any ideas?\ Would things get better if I were running linux and skype on a speedier computer? Or is this an operating system thing?
