This is last working commit, when rolling to next it stops working. this commit and all previous ones are fine, but
starting with the next one ES does not work.
I used git log in the HEAD to determine sequence of commits

are you sure? this is purely a documentation commit. the commits
surrounding it are related to an x11 race, instead -- so, if you are
using eglx there might be issues with the GL viewport update.
