On X MPlayer uses Xv when available, mplayer -o gl enables the GL output driver (so things are more comparable). For the development cycle leading to clutter-gst 1.2, I have a few performance related items on my todo list, if someone wants to help here, he'll be welcomed: * rework the shader to use less instructions * use PBO (through the new CoglBuffer API) for fast uploads This could improve the problems you are seeing, but I'm afraid I don't have an immediate solution for you. -- Damien --------------------------------------------------------------------- Intel Corporation (UK) Limited Registered No. 1134945 (England) Registered Office: Pipers Way, Swindon SN3 1RJ VAT No: 860 2173 47 This e-mail and any attachments may contain confidential material for the sole use of the intended recipient(s).
