It depends on what all you have to do with the discharge.  I have to go
through the chart, find the documentation of where they went and when, (its
unbelievable what isn't filled out where it should be and it takes time to
find it in the closed chart).  I then fill out the tracking form, enter it
into the computer, have to enter it into our "admission bible" (kept at the
nurses station and always seems to be in use when I need it) and then onto
my log for the billing office.
So, I can see where it may take 15 minutes or more or less.
 
Remember, this is a tool that one of our fellow members volunteered to
share.  We shouldn't criticize what values he uses, instead take the tool
and adjust it the way that will work the best for you.  I even know that I
have more than 40 hours a month non-MDS work.
