Could you please provide a little more information? Are you speaking of
handing the pt. the med cup? Passing out the meds for the day and leaving
them there? (Big NO NO!) Not certain what you are planning on doing?

Subject: Self Adm AFTER Nurse dishes up meds

Somewhat along the same path of self adm of meds. Are there any Nursing
Homes that allow a resident to self administer meds AFTER the nurses dishes
up the meds? We would like to start something like that, but the team
cannot agree on what all of the requirements should be. Are there any ideas
out there or does anyone have a policy/forms that they would be willing to
share. My fax number is 320-864-7896 Attn: Kelly Antrim, RN.

Again, this is AFTER the nurse dishes up the meds for the resident.
Thanks
