If this resident has a Medicare number and has available Medicare A days, she could qualify for Medicare A coverage after a 3 day qualifying hospital stay.  Her payor source on original admission to your facility does not really matter.  Many MA residents also have Medicare numbers, actually most of them do.  She was just admitted from home, most likely and not from the hospital.

Hi
I have a resident who is recieving pt / ot serivces five times a week . She was admitted MA from home. No prior hosp stay. So, if for say this resident goes to the hosp and she returns does that mean she would not qualify for Part A benefits ?
any help would be deeply appreciated.
