Anything said on this site could easily be
taken in a way it wasn't intended I guess; I apologize for calling Veteran's Day
a "benign" holiday. I meant it in the sense that compared to Thanksgiving
and Christmas it was a holiday that surveyors may have found to be of lesser
inconvenience perhaps? Never mind; it was dumb to say.
Col.
Not to be picky, but I have never considered
Veterans Day to be a benign holiday. Too many loved ones have died for
my freedom. I am sure you did not intend it to be derogatory. I
guess I just have a spot in my soul after having experienced
Viet
Nam.

Hi
everyone; just wanted you to know the state surveyors came to our building on
Tuesday; a holiday. Benign one but a holiday. They're focusing on
chemical and physical restraints, med. adm. and errors. Same old stuff;
so much depends on the Care manager, doesn't it? We have so many LPN's
in the building as charge nurses that I'm spending a lot of my time following
up and doing IV's that they can't do. Unfortunately that doesn't leave
me time to do my own job. And that reflects on our surveys. I'll
let you know how we did. Colleen in
SD.
