Within an acute care hospital, the nurses would never even think of transferring a patient to or receiving a patient from another unit without nurse to nurse report.  How can we think it's okay to not receive report from the hospital unit when a patient is transferred to us? 
Good point, but I'm sure that rarely happens due to acute hospital nurses' perception of skilled nursing facilities.
