We just contracted with a company that inserts PICC and midlines in NH
ultrasound guided if necessary somewhere around $200 which is about the cost
of oneway in the ambulance.

Subject: payment for PICC

We are trying to determine if it would be beneficial to have a group come
in-house to place PICC lines. If we have a Medicare A resident that we send
out to the hospital for a PICC line, are we responsible for the procedure in
our per diem rate? How about the X-ray to verify placement? Transportation
to and from?
