All of our "visitors" must sign in along with who they are going to see and of course
we require a directory information release upon admission. We did this way before
hipaa because of security reasons. Vendors must be escorted by the department they are
vending to - usually our purchasing agent. Everyone gets stopped at reception. Are you
at least doing a Directory information release on admission?
