Yes, we are doing all of that.  I was asked to see if there was a HIPAA reg
for all this.  I could not find one, but I have not been as involved in
HIPAA as some of you, so I thought I would try asking....

All of our "visitors" must sign in along with who they are going to see and
of course we require a directory information release upon admission. We did
this way before hipaa because of security reasons. Vendors must be escorted
by the department they are vending to - usually our purchasing agent.
Everyone gets stopped at reception. Are you at least doing a Directory
information release on admission?
