I just read the RAI manual on what it meant to be off the unit as it relates to G section anyway and it said off unit was the dining room.  If that also applies to activities then certainly it doesn't matter if it's on the same floor or not.

I am wondering what everyone else uses for N3c (Preferred Activity Settings - inside NH/off unit).  We have a single level facility with five wings and four dining rooms.  Our activities coordinator states that she was told a while ago that we cannot call anyplace in this nursing home as "off unit" because we do not have multiple levels.  I disagree and feel that if someone from any one wing attends an activity in another wing's dining room it should be considered off unit.  What are some other thoughts on this?
