Residents in Cyberspace

What happens to those residents that we discharge with "return anticipated" and then something happens that they don't return? Do they just float in "cyberspace" forever? Some of these residents still keep showing up on my Q.I. reports. months later. Is there any way to get them off?   Deb Shepherd
