Scenario; A Part A resident develops a suspected DVT and is ordered to the local acute hospital for ultrasound. Since the woman is on strict bedrest, she is transported via gurney by our local transport company. Resident returns and our Administrator states family must pay for this transport! Is this legal? I need as many responses as possible. Thank you.
