It was documented.and the nurses at the nursing home were told never  to give a  resident insulin before going to the hospital because the hospital nurses and doctors couldn't assess her for hours until the insulin wore off.  Is that a specific order written by the physician? I'd be willing to bet it's not. The DON and ALL nurses who failed to follow the MD's order and the Nursing Practice Act should be reported to the Board of Nursing.
