Hi Great Nurses of the World,{
did I get your attention, lol}
I have a question please, I love
reading all your emails and I am learning a lot, but I am not a MSD
nurse.
I am trying to pick up nursing
tips here.
Does anyone know of a group or
another listserver where nurses like myself might have a question and some
nurses could give their opinions, like here.
I have been out of the
hospital setting for 20 years ever though I keep up my CEs and read journals.
I would sometimes like to throw out a question about a nursing assessment
but I don't know if this is the place or is it?
Ex: Today I was at a nursing home
on a complaint and the DON told me that this resident's BS was 498. It was
documented.and the nurses at the nursing home were told never to
give a resident insulin before going to the hospital because
the hospital nurses and doctors couldn't assess her for hours until the
insulin wore off. The MD was called, VS taken and the resident sent to
the hospital without insulin. Has anyone ever heard of this.
This is something I would like to learn. So I would like nurse mentors for
questions too.
So if anyone can guide me if
their is a place, I would very much appreciate it. And thank you all for your
