There seems to be a conflict of information regarding the coding for toileting.  Some staff believe that if the resident is on the check and change program that they did not use the toilet.  In reading page 3-93 it states in toileting that the coding is for whether or not elimination occurred.  It also gives example's of using commode, bathroom , urinal and etc..  It does not however, give example of attends.  They are not toileted in the sense that they are put on toilet, commode or bedpan.  They are totally incontinent.  So would it be appropriate to code and 8 here?  Thanks.
