Title: Citrus Punch
What would the reason be for denying Medicare?  We have had a few residents deny Medicare because all of our beds were not certified for MCR and the resident and family thought that it would be detrimental to the resident to have to move to a new unit with new staff.  It was always an issue during survey but passed after the resident and family were interviewed.

Subject: can a MCD resident waive MCR?

If a resident is MCD and tube fed, can the family choose to waive MCR and have the resident be MCD? Or is this only an option for private pay residents?
