If a resident has an order of sliding scale of insulin and sometimes, she received insulin because her sugar was high , would you consider this as daily skilled service.  Im just wondering because we have resident who will be coming back to our facility after her surgery and we were discussing if she can be on part A when she goes back . Her last cover day from Part  A was more than 60 days already. Thanks for the reply.

I beleive that monitoring her fbs and administering insulin would be skilled,  but if she has had surgery,  what about surgical wound care.  She certainly would be skilled for at least 5 days
