You can code the full time spent in a group, if the group did not exceed four residents, and the resident did not exceed 25% of their therapy time per discipline in group.

See this excerpt from page 3-188 from the revised August 03 RAI Users Manual:

For groups of four or fewer residents per supervising therapist (or assistant), each resident is coded at having received the full time in the therapy session. For example, if a resident worked with three residents for 45 minutes on training to return to the community, each resident received 45 minutes of therapy so long as that does not exceed 25% of his/her therapy per therapy discipline, during the 7-day observation period. Remember, code for the residents time, not for the therapists time.

I would like to see how everyone checks therapy min. If therapy is working in a group with residents do you add all min for the last 7 days including the group time and then times it by .25 % and subtract from your total? If someone has a formula please send it?

Thanks Lisa
