Hi, Group!
Well, so much can happen over the course of a week. Most of you know that I had resigned from my position and should have been starting a new job this week.  In the month since I gave my resignation, the management group, DON and administrator have resigned.  Much negotiation followed and I had decided to stay on as MDS Coordinator.

Well, as of today, I am acting DON.  It was very, very sudden, (DON, Administrator and staffing coordinator all essentially just walked out this am.)  I had decided last night to apply for the job, and was handed keys, pager , phone and staffing book this am.

I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BEING A DON!

Anyone out there with DON experience, and if there are current DONs on the list, please email me privately. I have so many questions I don't know where to start.

Thanks in advance.

Holly

Ever heard the _expression_ "jumped from the fire to the frying pan"?  I wish you the best of luck.  I've never been the DON and I don't think I would want to.  Best wishes.  Hope you get lots of advice.
