I would also make sure that the hip fx was not related to the ca, ie has metastatic ca to the hip.  If that is so, then this would be related to dx being used for hospice.

Yes,  hospice for the CA and SNF for fx skilled svc.  Of course the Med A is dependant on technical eligibility-has days etc.

Would she be eligible for both Medicare A (hip fracture) and hospice (cancer)?
