This is partially correct. If you are picking a resident up on therapy you would need to assess if the resident would qualify for a significant change is status assessment. If yes, then you would code your assessment as a 3/8. If the resident does not meet the definition of a sign. change then you would have to wait until your next asssessment window to capture the rehab minutes and capture the Rehab RUG. You cannot do a straight OMRA (08) to capture a rehab RUG 8-10 days after therapy was initiated.
