Sounds tacky but the "potential" is killing all of us who give their heart and soul just to provide the best care we can. Again thank you. If you want to be realistic, the facility can receive an immediate jeopardy over anything the surveyor wants to give it to them for .... I know the surveyors jobs are difficult, but it is getting to the point that the people that work in the facility are wondering why we put our hearts and soul into this mission field of nursing homes... The immediate jeopardies that are being given is the equivalent of hitting a little fly with a texas fly swat! Sometimes a simply I would recommend you do not do that would be all it would take - Again, don't ever think any facility is above an immediate jeopardy. Even the best run facilities can receive an immediate jeopardy .... and, the informal dispute resolution process has become a farce. But, I wish you good luck and hopefully, your facility will be one of the lucky ones that receives a fair shake at the IDR. All we in the industry ask for is a level playing field.
