Subject: Delayed PTPT has discharged a resident r/t no increase in weight bearing status (post fx with ORIF) and she has plateaued. We had to cut her from MED A r/t no other skilled service. IF she does not get increased weight bearing before the 30 day window for restarting PT/MEDA expires can we apply the delayed PT exception to this situation if the d/c order for PT states to resume therapy at a more appropriate time?
