I was confirmed as having cml a little over a week ago, and have been on hydroxyurea for about two weeks. My wbc count in now normal, but the platelets remain stubbornly high at about 1000...should be below 400. Have any of you had similar experience? I am not sure if this is normal, since the hemetologist seems frustrated by it. I started on Gleevec about 1 week ago...400mg.
