Hi all,
My name is Priscilla (Sunny), i am from northern Manitoba. My 13 yr old daughter was diagnosed in 09/02. She's on 400 mg Gleevec, septra 2x a week and also iron. I have problems getting her to take her septra, she says they are gross, they leave an awful taste in her mouth, and also every so often, when she's having a bad day she refuses her Gleevec. I solved this though by waking her up from her sleep and giving them to her then, i found it easier that way.
The clinic my girl attends is 600 miles away, so we do alot of travelling back and forth, we don't have anything like that here as we live in a small town. Its sometimes difficult to find the right kind of help we are looking for and so i come here for answers at times. Although i don't post much, i do enjoy reading your posts.
