I had a catherter put in my neck that stayed there until I left the hospital. They brought a machine in as the hospital itself didn't have one. Did they give you calcium during the pheresis?
I felt really cold and shaking after the treatment each time.
I had 4 treatments in all.

Nope I wasn't admitted to the hospital. I would go in for four hours, get hooked up to the pheresis machine and have one large IV inserted into each arm and watch a movie while they filtered out my platelets and then I would go back home. Did you have a central line inserted into your neck? Did they admit you to the hospital?
