Hi Susan and all,
Your info on stress got me to thinking about how stress must play a role in CML.
It seems a lot of us were under stress when we were dx.
I had been in grief for 5 years over the death of my hubby of 42 years.  I just could not get over his death.
Then stress over managing everything without him.
It seems the year my grief lifted some; I was dx with CML.
I have had most of the side effects although they have been mild.
The sores I have had have been the most painful.
I started with a sty in my eye, them a painful sore in my nose and then sores in my groin area.
My fingers have sometimes cramped up while doing projects; that is scarry.
I had the up and down battle with blood counts in the first few months but then they got back into then normal range and stayed there.
My eyes use to swell so bad; they looked terrible.
I eat healthy, walk daily and just try to enjoy each day as it comes.
Hope you the best;
Jeanie<3

Hi my name is Suzan and I was dx in June 2004. Everything went pretty good while the doctor had me off for three months. 400 mg Gleevec was doing good and I was regaining my strength. I was sick from 02/04-06/04 before they knew what was wrong with me. By that time I had gotten really weak between being sick, working, and all the stress I was under going through a divorce after 32 years and both my son and son-in-law in Iraq.
