I am 55, and have similar experience to yours.  I have been on 
Gleevec since early in September when I was diagnosed.  I am 
assuming it is a side effect of the gleevec, since my blood 
chemistry is back to normal.  Somehow the gleevec is influencing the 
skin...not a great thing, but better than no gleevec I guess, ha.

If I find out anything else I will post what I learn.

I am in Florida so the cold is not a big issue, but the sun is and I 
burn easily and shave more carefully, ha.
