Can any body here tell me any authentic doctor who can guide me about CML.i m having a great difficulty in fighting against this disease. my father is suffering from this disease and i find my slef helpless when remain unable to do anything about him.please tell me any authentic web site address that will be convinent for me and i ll be greatfull to you all for this act

My 33 year-old daughter was diagnosed offically on May 13, 2005. It
was a real shock, obviously. Not something you plan! Her WBC's
didn't escalate until the doctor tried prednisone to verify that she
didn't have an infectious process. So, after the BMB, she started on
hydroxurea. We've been to UCLA and to OSHU in Portland, both
wonderful places with caring, knowledgable staff. Started on 600 mg
Gleevec which we were told is having great success at MD Anderson and
in Australia. I guess the hardest part, aside from an uncertain
future, for my daughter is trying to be enthused about work and
mundane life chores when what she wants to do is hold her three little
children close to her. Life has taken a different path now but
already it is one that is changing our lives and making us so much
more aware of the things that really matter.
I have two other children who are in the process of being tested to
see if they are 100 percent matches for a BMT. That is our prayer at
this time.
This group has been a great source of inspiration and education.
