Nancy,
This is one of the most common side effects of Gleevec (cramping). I
had the same effects as you in the beginning, calves and feet/toes.
the only thing that would help was walking them off and it would
sometimes be 15 or 20 minutes before they would stop. After 6 months
and as time has passed the cramping has lessened and are further and
further a part in occurrences. Potassium and calcium may help. I
just hope you don't get one of those big ones when your sleeping. I
had that happen to me several times and it was so annoying and
disorienting. Good luck and I hope the cramping improves soon.
Take care,
Brenda

to go away. The pain was so bad I was crying. Finally it stopped ,but I
am so exhausted from those 20 minutes of torture.
