Hi, Steve.
You know it is okay to be angry as long as that anger is not self-destructing. Grief takes all kinds of emotions and it takes a lot of work. Being tired all the time is part of that depression that accompanies it. Make a plan. Get some exercise. Get proper rest. Make sure you are not only doing things for the kids and your wife, but do something for yourself every single day...rather it is playing a gameboy for 30 minutes or walking around the block. As far as work, you might find that it gives you some relief to perform in small doses.
The reality is....a chronic disease that requires treatment and emotional support. It is life-changing, life-altering in long-term decision-making but it is a disease where LIFE goes on, maybe just a little differently. Steve, I don't know how to tell you to get over your anger but if you don't do it you will destroy the quality of your life and then the disease wins in two ways. You can't let that happen.
Work on getting through each hour and pretty soon it will be blocks of hours and maybe a whole day. You can do it. You deserve that and so does your wife.
Blessings come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it is the blessing of a card or a prayer for your family, a phone call, a sunny day. Find the blessings and the anger will diminish.
Hug the family.
