TERRY
YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT ROAD NOW . spending time with your son is the best . i have
a 13 yr old and he was 11 when i found out i had cml . i talked to him about it
tried to explian it the best i could and even share my e-mails on how good
everyone is doing on the gleevec . i take him from time to time with me to the
doctor when i go and he can ask his own questions and see what i go through .
all kids are different but it seemed to help him deal with it when he felt
included not protected from it . he said we are in this together because we are
a family and we would beat this together , he even told me that he prayed for me
at church and that he knew GOD would heal me . after i stopped crying from what
he said i used that love he was giving me to make me stronger and give me
another reason to push onward. his mother and i had been divorced for 5 yrs but
she was very supportive and was very harsh on my fiance for leaving me ,
never know where your support will come from . the woman that i wanted
to spend my life with let me down and the one who i didn't think cared rose
to be very supportive , her and her husband both even volunteered to get
tested if i needed a BMT . life is funny like that , you never know what
might come from a sititution . i don't look at cml as a set back just
a challenge and a way to see life as a more beautiful than i did before i
had cml . never knew what i was missing until i thought there might not be a
tomorrow , glad i got a second chance to enjoy life no matter how long i am
here on this earth .feel free to e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you want to vent so more
it's good to get it out .
GOD
bless you and all the warriors out there .
Larry

Thanks Mary,
You guys have already helped, and like I told Moe your messages are like
hugs;) I now live in Sellersburg Indiana, which is on the outskirts of
Louisville KY. I am going to take my time on trying to meet someone, I plan
on spending more time with my 11 year old son, he lives with his mom, cause
when I was diagnosed and first started treatment it was a bit to much for
him, he kept thinking I was going to die at any moment, but now he
understands I not going anywhere anytime soon, and his dad just can't quite
do what I use to.
