Amy so sorry that your pappy is going through this and more sorry your grandma is not being supportive for him . I realize that it is hard on our loved ones , but it is even harder on the ones that have the disease .  I thought when people said they would love you for better or worse that is what it meant , not I love you during the good and just turn away when it is not perfect for them .  sorry to all who read this if I sound bitter about this , but I just don't understand why people feel that you can just jump ship when trouble comes along , that's not how it works . as cml survivors we need the ones we love and trust more now than even , it is so hard to battle on when you feel like you support leaves you . to all of you out there that have rallied to your love ones with cml you are amazing , you give us the strength to carry on when we don't see the light at the end of the tunnel , you are our angels . for all of the survivors please don't forget to give your supporters a hug , and let them always know that they are not taken for granted and with their love we get the strength to battle on . sorry again if i have offended anyone with my comments on this , guess by reading and replying I have open my past feelings from 2 yrs ago when my fiancĂ© left me because she said this wasn't fair to change her life too , guess I wasn't as ok with it as I thought ..... but from the bottom of my heart I wish all the warriors and their loving supporters all of GODS blessing and strength to battle on .

Hello!  I'm so sorry.  My pappy was diagnosed this July with CML, he was in the blastic phase and in the hospital for three weeks.  My grandma is very unsupportive of my pappy.  His own wife, whose suppose to be there through thick and thin.  I think she is missing that gene!  She doesn't understand why he can't just do what he use to.  Well he gets really tired, he is sick to his stomach, etc. 

You will realize very quickly who you can rely on and who is there to support you. We are here to support you!!
