No sorry hun I didnt know until I got my last bone marrow biopsy but I did find out that one of the signs was my white cell count was way under 4000 and i dont know if it has anything to do with it but my immune system is almost shot.Im picking up cold and getting infections left and right it seems like. If you dont feel like some thing is right be sure to tell your Doc. Dont be afraid to speak up and ask for second oppinions. This has been a long journey for all of us but I have found that asking questions and reasking if i dont get what they say has helped. Without my second opinion and a quick switch to a Doc I trusted I would still be killing myself with the gleevec. Not that gleevec is bad .... it just doesnt work for some people.

The same thing happened to me the glivec not only didnt work for me but i found out the 600mg was killing off my good bone marrow. I found out by listings online and you can ask your doc if he knows of any around your area. I have to drive 3 hours to get to the one in Buffalo but really for me its the last option before bmt  so its well worth it. Good luck I hope and pray you find one and it kicks butt :)

Fri. I finished my pretesting for the amn107. I should be starting it some time in the next 2 weeks. Im excited and scared I know a lil info on it if anyones interested. Ill be in phase 2 at Roswell in Buffalo. was thinking about starting a journal on it.

-- AMN107, a novel investigational oral compound being developed as a new treatment for advanced chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients, is planned to be submitted for regulatory approval in 2007. Enrollment in a pivotal Phase II study of patients with CML resistant to Gleevec/Glivec began in April 2005, with a Phase III study in chronic phase CML patients initiating treatment planned to begin in the first quarter of 2006. AMN107 further expands the Novartis franchise for helping patients with CML and GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumors).
