Hey Sue,Gleevec is a drug that is high in side effects and drug-drug interactions. I would suggest reading up on the Gleevec manufacturer's site, webmd.com and cmlmedicalmonitor.com. As far as side effects I had a lot during my second-fourth weeks on the gleevec but now a little over a month in most are gone. Most were bearable...bone pain, tirdness, diareah, nausia. The bone aches still come and go at times but a little pain releiver gets rid of them. I hope you find out what works for you.
