Lynn, Sorry to have to read your email about your neice,but  i am sure she will do well, she will be in our thoughts and prayers.  At first when we are faced with this horrible disease we are so frightened about what our journey will be. Marisa is a lucky little girl, that she has a Aunt who love's her and is looking out for her in her best intrest. You have joined a group of wonderful people who are in the same boat either there diagnosed or have a spouse or sibling or child who are facing this disease. I am the wife, my husband was diagnosed 7 and half years ago.....so i know  what your feeling. This group helped me a lot i didn't interact a lot because we went right into a bone marrow transplant and was quite busy, but i read it faithfully and i it helped to know how many people were feeling what i was feeling  and answering questions that i was wondering about. Infact i got a letter from someone who husband had cml , there journey was different then our's....but i still remember her letter , to hear someone who had all the feelings i had was reaching out to me.That was soooo important at that time. Today we still keep intouch and are the best of friends.   I think the fact you have joined this group and are trying to gather all the information that is possible about cml is great......Marisa needs to surround her self with the best Doctor's , then the rest is in God's hand                                                           New!
