Please watch for other medication interaction with Gleevec such as tylenol. I have been told by my oncologist to avoid taken tylenol and use advil or iboproven instead. It help me with joint pain.
Side effect will get better by time.

Subject: Re: [CML] Question about a side effect???

My doctor actually tried to tell me that the bone/joint/muscle pain doesn't have anything to do with the CML or gleevec.  I was so mad.  Anyway, I got another doctor in the same practice at my appointment on Thursday and he didn't seem to know anything about it either but he said that sometimes with CML while your bone marrow is re-arranging you can get strange sensations.  He gave me some T3 (tylenol with codeine) and I just took that.  It took the pain away but left me loopy in the process.
Hopefully your doc can perscribe that for you.
