We all have to remember though that researchers are going to be optimistic. Not trying to be the voice of doom or argumentative, but we just need to remember who is presenting the data. Honestly, I thought it was really good because it wasn't just a fluff piece about cancer like the one on NBC last week with the lady with breast cancer who postponed her treatment.
And, the more people get the word out like the CNN piece, maybe there will be more contriubutors to research. I especially like that they showed some LLS info. and Light the Night balloons.
Generally, I feel very hopeful about the future and CML with a choice of new drugs coming. It's hard to sit and watch the side effects of the disease and the Gleevec, sometimes, but at least my family member is still here to continue to fight the fight and for that, and Dr. Druker and people like him, I am so very grateful.
