Hi Jackie I am so glad you found us but sorry for why. I was diagnosed at age 49 on Feb 8 2004. I feel like I am still new to this. I had the tiredness and joint pains and night sweats and contributed them to getting old. Who would have thought. My kids are grown thank goodness. I have been doing really well on the Gleevec. I work for the USPS which can be both stressful and physical and I have been fortunate to not have to miss work for CML. I am very fortunate that I have good insurance so my copay for Gleevec is only 20$ per month. I cant figure how folks can afford to get it without insurance. I just tell folks that I will have to work till I die so I can afford to buy the meds.
