My mother-in-law started her glivec treatment today. She had a blood sample taken this morning and will have another one in a weeks time to see what effect the glivec is having.
Apparently her doctor is hoping that her brother will be a tissue match. If he is and the glivec pushes her into remission we may try for an early bonemarrow transplant. I can't believe that tiny box of tablets is $4500AU worth. Thank goodness for medicare, her treatment is "on the house". How do you guys in the USA afford it? Megan ------------------------ Yahoo!
