I am sorry your report wasn't as good as you would have liked.
The side effects from Gleevec are devastating for some people, yet others float along like it is nothing. My daughter is suspected now of having pulmonary edema from 600 mg. of Gleevec. We are very disappointed because that is one side effect that can be deadly so will mean either reducing or getting in a trial if it is true. She has been increasingly short of breath for the last two months. We got a new oncologist who actually knows something about CML and Gleevec, so we are encouraged by his knowledge but upset at what he told us about pulmonary edema.
Are there others out there with this side effect?
